Special Incentives for Recent Graduates

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) is offering special incentives to keep our best and brightest here at home. 

  Here’s how it works:

Ø Available to those who graduated from an Ohio high school and have earned an Associate, Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate or other post-graduate degree within the last 18-months.

Ø Available to those who attended post-secondary education outside of Ohio but are smart enough to return to Ohio!

Ø Must meet all other OHFA requirements (1^st time home buyer, purchase price, etc.).

Ø Income guidelines are higher for this program than other OHFA programs.

Ø OHFA will issue a Grant in an amount for 2.50% of the home’s purchase price to help with your down payment and closing costs.

Ø This is a 0.00% Second Mortgage with no payment due. The loan is forgiven after 5-years (if you move out of Ohio before 60 months, you are responsible for repaying a portion of the Grant).
